We had a table of 15 or so, so ill just talk about mine and my partners meals.
First off we had the GARLIC BREAD and the SALSICCIA ITALIANA. The bread was nice, could have done with a little more garlic though, the Sausage was quite a nice little starter with some really punchy fetta.
I had the GRILLED SPANISH CHICKEN which was fantastic, cooked well and presented on a bed of beer battered fries. The chicken had there own Spanish glaze, which was great but a little overpowering. Topped with some Garden salad.
My wife had the LAMB SHANK which I have to say was fantastic. Nice and tender presented well, sitting on a bed of mash with red wine drizzled from the cooking of the lamb. The flavours were just right with this dish.
This was definitely the highlight, quick and thoughtful service here. As soon as we walked in our bottle of red was being opened and poored. Bottled water was kept fresh at all times and there timing with taking away plates etc was sharp. All the mains came out on time.
I really liked the more open feel here compared to many Italian flavoured restaurants, nice lighting and decor combined with a smallish crowd really made it a place to re-visit
Overall:
Some pretty decent food for the money, not the best value I've had. Service was great and the willingness for the wait staff to chat was fantastic. Ill definitely come back with some friends!!
